LumenKids Winter Camp is a week to explore a broad-range topic and discover interests inside of it. During this week we will take Family & Community as a general inspiration and explore various related sub-topics that we as a group determine to explore. We use the city and community around us as our classroom and partner with experts for deeper learning. Experiential Education is an approach to learning that follows the lead of the student’s interest and supports any type of learning be it from books, stories, film, digital media, interviews, movies, art, story writing, hands-on projects or mentorship. Through this process we learn many valuable lessons on our learning styles, and communication strategies; and realize feelings of empowerment and excitement by exploring our own ideas and interests.
In this season of celebration the idea of family can be a source of joy, a source of stress and everything else in-between. Join us for a fun-filled week defining what family means to you!
